Heading to Pigeon Forge for our family vacation was the best decision we made. After having exhausted Dollywood for 2 days, where my kids had a blast, we headed to Gatlinburg to check out the Dinosaur Walk Museum. If you have kids who at all interested in dinosaurs, I recommend taking them here. We have three boys, and this was extremely entertaining for them. I wasn’t sure about taking them whitewater rafting, but we had such an excellent guide that it was worth it! There was just so much for us to do, that we couldn’t fit it all into one trip, but we were especially delighted to get to Ripley’s Aquarium, which was such a short drive to nearby Gatlinburg. If you want a great place to spend time with your family, go to these places. You won’t be disappointed.

Moving here was a good decision for my husband and I. We love the mountain air and the general atmosphere of Pigeon Forge. Working here has been a dream becasue I get to work with people who really love their jobs. My kids love visiting Dollywood, and that makes this town even better, just having something that they enjoy and entertaining. We are new to the area, but are looking foward to the Dinosaur museum. I have heard great things about it, so I will definately add back to this entry if it is.

In Pigeon Forge I never have a problem finding things to do. I am love hiking in the Smokey Mountain Park. During the summer it is so nice outside. It is just calming to live here. Every summer my grandchildren come up and spend loads of time at Dollywood, and I agree when someone says that it really doesn’t get old going over and over. We always enjoy our time, and of course it is great that Gatlinburg is only a 15 minute drive for us. If being outdoors interests you at all, Bluffton Vacation Rentals has all sorts of fun things you can rent (ATV’s), etc.

Pigeon Forge is one of the greatest places to live. If you have never been, I can promise you would have such a great time. My friends and I love to get together and good around at Fantasy Golf, or just grab a beer at the Smokey Mountain Brewery. Sometimes I think it would be nice if the town catered a little more toward the younger ages, such as those in their twenties. it can be tough meeting people sometimes if you are new, but all in all I’d say this is a great place to live.

I grew up in Pigeon Forge and have only loved here. Traveling I love, but my home is here and I absolutely love this town. It has been such an ideal place to raise a family. We can never go wrong with Dollywood. It’s just such a fun place with a fun atmosphere. I love going to the Mountain Valley Winery. The wines there are absolutely some of the best I have tasted. Every time my sister comes for a visit, we make it a point to head out there and check out the wines they have to offer. I never knew such great wine was so close by. It’s such a treasure!

I work in Pigeon Forge and I am pretty happy here. Being in the tourism industry has its ups and downs, but I am almost always surrounded by happy people passing through this town. It is rare that we get the individual or family who just really hated the time they spent here. I mean, it’s no spring break destination, but for a family, it is such a fantastic place to bring the kids, or even just for a couple to get away and spend some time together. Whitewater rafting has always been something I was interested in, so when I tell people to give it a try, they really seem to enjoy it. It can be a romantic or fun place, but the point is people won’t know until they actually come here and check it out for themselves. The town is sure not to disappoint.

There aren’t enough great things to say about living in Pigeon Forge. While I agree with the post above, there really isn’t a nightlife here, there is always something to get into on days that I have off. Gatlinburg offers a little more in that sense, and since it is so close by I don’t mind heading there for some fun. It probably may not be the most fun for the young single person, but that is where creativity should come in! Hiking in the Smokey Mountains, Gem mining, mini golf, lots of museums, there seems to be a “taste” of something for everyone. If you are young and thinking of moving here, don’t let the not so great nightlife scare you away. This place really does have a lot to offer.

Having lived in Pigeon Forge most of my life, I was sad when I had to leave for work about 10 years ago. Now that I have found my way back, I can’t believe what all this town now has to offer. I go to a different place to eat as often as I can, and my kids are finally old enough to really enjoy what Dollywood has to offer. Like most theme parks, going over and over again doesn’t make the day there any less enjoyable. We have a blast every time. I am hoping I am here to stay for good. So far it is looking like that is how things are going to be.

Living in Pigeon Forge has been an adjustment for me considering I grew up five minutes from the beach. I didn’t think I would like living in the mountains, and while I still miss the coast, I have really begun enjoying my time here. While there really isn’t much of a nightlife (I am only in my mid 20’s, so some sort of nightlife would be nice), I still manage to find so many things to do here. I cannot get enough of the Ripley’s Aquarium. When I have time I head to Gatlinburg. There is always something to do there. Mini golf is always fun, especially since I have 2 younger brothers. I am finally settling into living here and enjoying it.

Miniature golf, Ripley’s Aquarium, go-carts, Dollywood, and the Elvis Museum are all just a sampling of the fun stuff you can do when you visit Pigeon Forge, TN. Finding a good place to eat here is never hard. I have eaten some of the best steak from restaurants here. One great place to try is Alamo. They have so much to choose from if that is something you enjoy. I have been living here many years and after having been going to the Alamo, I know I will be a lifelong customer.
